Advisories & Warnings - Currently in Effect
A key function of Alberta Environment is to provide timely information on forecasts and advisories for high streamflows, flooding and ice jams in rivers and streams in Alberta. For more details, Alberta Environment’s forecasters provide written comments that summarize weather and stream conditions in the province.
For information regarding issues affecting surface water quality, please check the Surface Water Quality webpage. Any Surface Water Quality Reports listed below may also be found through their webpage via the "What's Available" link.
New Advisory Template For 2009:Please be advised that the River Forecast Centre has changed the format of its High Streamflow Advisories, Flood Watches and Flood Warnings. Click here for a sample version of the new format.
