Alberta's hazardous waste manifest system

Alberta Environment uses a manifest system to track the movement of hazardous waste from its place of generation to its point of receipt. Call 780-427-0666 to obtain copies of the manifest form.

Waste consignors

Any person who consigns hazardous waste for off-site disposal must have a hazardous waste generator number. To apply, submit a completed form to:

Waste carriers
 
A hazardous waste carrier number is required, from the address cited above. No application fee. Call 780-427-3081 for an application, or download the form here.
 
Waste receivers
 
A hazardous waste receiver number is required. Same conditions as above. Call 780-427-3081 for an application, or download the form here.
 
Hazardous recyclables importers
 
Must have written authorization from the Minister, Alberta Environment. Apply to the address above, or download here.
 
 
The person authorized to transport hazardous recyclables in Alberta must complete a recycle docket form when transporting more than 205 litres or 205 kg of hazardous recyclables. Call 780-427-3081 for a recycle docket form, or download here.
