Reducing Your Footprint
What Does This Mean?
Footprint refers to the impacts our actions have on the Earth. Everything we do has an effect on the natural resources in our province the goods we buy, the energy and water we use, and the waste we throw away.
What's important is how we manage, as well as reduce, these effects.
How Can I Reduce My Footprint?
It's relatively easy to make small changes that, over the long term, can have dramatic effects on our environment. By reducing our energy consumption, as well as conserving our natural resources, we can make big changes for future generations.
The Alberta government is helping Albertans make these small changes through its One Simple Act program. Commit to One Simple Act and do your part to reduce waste, conserve water and reduce energy consumption.
The Alberta Conservation Team is delivering One Simple Act programs across Alberta. Find out when this group of energetic young professionals will be in your area.
