Slave Lake ash sampling results
Alberta Environment collected ash samples from the burned out areas of Slave Lake. These samples were sent to an independent lab and shared with Alberta Health Services, who analyzed the results for potential human health impacts.
Over the next six months, Alberta Environment will be collecting soil samples to ensure successful clean-up. These results will be shared with Alberta Health Services, who will do humuan health analyses.
